Write To Meow is a bi-annual, anthology. The goal of this collection is to bring
awareness to the plight of the thousands of cats that are currently
suffering in shelters and needlessly walked into the gas chamber.
Contributors wishing to achieve the goal
of publication may submit short stories and personal essays of not more
than 8,000 words; or poetry of not more than 45 lines, with a central theme or character involving cats.
submit up to five pieces, and they may mix genres, if they choose. We
accept simultaneous submissions, and pieces previously published, as
long as original copyright ownership can be provided, if requested.
Submission Deadline is September 30 of 2017; with an expected release date of December 15, 2017.
Contributors agree to grant one-time
print publication rights, as well as right to publish selected pieces to
the Grey Wolfe Publishing website. The Grey Wolfe Publishing editorial
team's decisions regarding submission inclusion are final. Inclusion in Write To Meow is intended as a tool to build your writer’s platform and to add
to your writing career momentum. Contributing authors are not paid
royalties; however, each contributor will receive a 50% discount coupon to purchase a copy
of Write To Meow so that more of the proceeds can be donated to the charity.
Proceeds from the 2017 Write To Meow anthology will go to the Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida. They are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Big Cat Rescue is one of the largest accredited sanctuaries in the world dedicated to abused and abandoned big cats. They are home to about 80+ lions, tigers, bobcats, cougars and other
species most of whom have been abandoned, abused, orphaned, saved from
being turned into fur coats, or retired from performing acts.
